Your Peers Favorite Places to Online Shop

I have been wanting to learn where teens commonly shop so I can have some more ideas of where to buy clothes from online. This week, I asked a large group of my peers where they liked to online shop for clothes and I got a large variety of answers. The most common answers were Adidas, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, and asos.

I have ordered from all these stores online but the one I recommend most is asos. Forever 21 has low prices compared to the other favorite stores but the quality is cheap and not always worth it to buy. Adidas is high quality but has more workout clothes than stylish clothes. Adidas is also one of my personal favorite stores but I usually just buy workout clothes from the website. The stores I order from most often are Urban Outfitters and asos but I highly recommend asos because there are cheaper options in comparison to Urban Outfitters. Most teens don’t make that much money in their job, if they have a job at all, so they might not be able to afford clothes from Urban Outfitters all the time. Urban Outfitters sometimes has unrealistic prices for the quality. I am about to order some clothes from asos to write a review for my readers about the quality and fit of the outfits.

The Horror Story of the Bikini Bottoms (from forever 21)

If you’re a guy or girl that doesn’t do basic mall shopping, you might not know that forever 21 does not always have the best quality products. Word around the street is that a 5 dollar shirt might seem appealing but it will look very cheap after 1 wash. In this blog, I’m going to tell you why this is, sadly, true.

In august of this past summer, my friend went to Greece. She did some online shopping before hand to become prepared for her trip. Bikinis were a must have so she went on the Forever 21 website and ordered some new bathing suits. She ordered the High-Waist Crochet Bikini Bottoms at $11.99. When they came in, she was very excited and packed them in her suitcase to bring to Greece. She did not know what was to come…..

My friend stepped into the beautiful, clear Greece waters and dunked under the water. When she stood up, she was confused why people were staring at her legs. She looked down and saw red running down her to her ankles. At first she thought she cut herself, but then she realized it was dye from her bathing suit running down her legs. She had to stay in the water until the all the color seeped out.

I have also bought shirts from forever 21 and they have ripped and cracked but this experience tops all of my horror stories. So think twice if you ever want to order from Forever 21.

Pretty Little Thing (Online Shopping Review)

I sort of have a love for online shopping, but I usually only order clothes from the same places because I don’t want to get ripped off with poor quality clothes or have to wait months for my order. I made my blog to review different online shopping websites  and examine their reliability.

For high school girls, one of the biggest online shopping times of the year is homecoming season. I ordered 4 dressed from a website that I was unfamiliar with called Pretty Little Thing. I was too impatient to wait for normal shipping, so I paid for 2-3 day shipping and I was satisfied with the delivery time of under 48 hours.

The good experience went down hill when the sleeve of the first dress I tried on ripped as soon as I pulled it up my arm. The dress was pretty and fit well, but the quality wasn’t great since it seemed to be cheaply made. The first image below is my friend in my dress and the second image is the dress from the website. Overall, this dress looked like it was supposed to but it wasn’t great quality.

The second dress I tried on was slightly a train wreck. No-one could possibly wear this dress out of the house because it has no coverage and it did not fit like the picture made it look like. This dress, along with most of the others, was very hard to get on and tighter than expected. Below is, again, my friend in the dress, then the model in the dress. She had to wear a sports bra because the dress itself was not close to covering up what it needed to. Yikes.

The last dress I tried on was by far the best. It was very good quality and looked like the original image. The only downside was that it was also very hard to manage as it felt like the dress was going to rip just by trying to get it on. I think I might actually keep this one. This is my friend in the dress. The body of the dress fit both me and her very well.

IMG_9803I would rate my overall experience with Pretty Little Thing at a 6/10. Most of my dresses matched what the picture looked like, and they arrived in a very timely manner. It can’t be a 10/10 because the dresses were not great quality (even though you aren’t paying for fantastic quality) and were not at all easy to put on.
